Castaway’s Theatre is holding auditions for Neil Simon’s classic, The Odd Couple. This comedy follows Oscar Madison, a messy sportswriter, and Felix Ungar, a neurotic neat freak. When a depressed and suicidal Felix shows up at his door after being thrown out by his wife, Oscar feels sorry for him and invites him to move in. Felix’s compulsive tidiness soon drives Oscar insane, leading to a hilarious clash of lifestyles and cohabitation chaos.
Directed by Eddie Page and produced by Bob Thompson, this show promises to make you laugh, but also stir-up memories of “that one roommate” in your past life – in either direction.
Auditions will be held at Castaways Theatre in the AJ Ferlazzo building in Woodbridge on Tuesday, August 25th and Saturday the 29th with callbacks on Tuesday September 1st (by invitation only). Click on the SignUp Genius link below for time slots available.
Each Auditionee will be required to fill out audition form at the audition and conflict information on the calendar to be provided.
Anyone missing more than two unidentified rehearsals will be considered for recasting. Exceptions to this request will be for Emergencies only.
